Patrick Corbin is a “long shot” to pitch again in 2026 due to a teres major strain, Blue Jays manager John Schneider told reporters (including Sportsnet’s Arden Zwelling and MLB.com’s Keegan Matheson). Trey Yesavage has progressed to throwing bullpen sessions as he recovers from meniscus surgery, while Shane Bieber is about 10-11 days behind Yesavage’s progress, in Schneider’s view. Nationals catcher Drew Millas is likely facing another surgery on his left index finger, according to The Athletic’s Spencer Nusbaum.
