Rick Harrison, known for the History Channel’s popular reality show, Pawn Stars, is currently recovering from emergency bypass surgery.
Harrison, 61, rose to stardom on the hit reality show, which features his Las Vegas store, the Gold & Silver Pawn Shop. The series, which premiered in 2009, chronicles the wild sales of the popular, family-run store. But in a new post from TMZ.com, it’s reported that Harrison went in for what he expected to be a routine stent procedure. However, doctors soon discovered a much more serious issue, and bypass surgery was required.
A representative for the Harrison family shared that Rick is resting comfortably and looking forward to a full recovery. They also noted that he’s grateful for the treatment he’s receiving from doctors and staff at the hospital, and he has his wife, Angie, and his family by his side.

After the ceremony, the party headed over to Harrison’s barbecue restaurant, Rick’s Rollin Smoke BBQ & Tavern. Now that’s a party!
“We are so excited to start this next chapter as husband and wife and celebrate with friends and family in Las Vegas, and also at our wedding later this month,” the couple tells PEOPLE. “It has been such an adventure already, and we are looking forward to all of it.”
