Max Branning (Jake Wood) found himself at the mercy of a vengeful Ravi Gulati (Aaron Thiara) in Wednesday's (2 September 2026) instalment of EastEnders.
Though fiancée Priya Nandra-Hart assured him that the lover she had taken while they were apart was no one he knew, Ravi spied Priya looking close with Max.
The moment was entirely innocent, with Priya having ended the affair when she was ready to commit once more to Ravi. But there's a ticking timebomb, as neither man knows that she's pregnant with Max's baby!
Desperate to find proof that Max was the other man Priya had been with, Ravi paid him a visit at his flat with an expensive bottle of alcohol, which he claimed was a thank you for Max stepping aside so he could buy into the Boxing Den.
With Max due to attend his stag night ahead of his wedding to Cindy Beale (Michelle Collins), he was pleased with the gift and invited Ravi to the evening.
But as Ravi checked the surroundings in an old photo he'd received from Priya, it confirmed his suspicions about Max.
Priya was eventually forced to admit that she had been seeing Max, but swore that it was all over.
Ravi, however, refused to believe this was true, and raged as he rushed out to take serious action.

Meanwhile, in Harry's Barn, Oscar Branning (Pierre Counihan-Moullier) briefed the stags, which now included fellow groom-to-be Howie Danes (Delroy Atkinson), that he had enlisted Jack Branning (Scott Maslen) to kidnap Max, wanting to pull off the ultimate stag prank.
But Jack never got round to his task, arriving late due to visiting unwell wife Denise Fox (Diane Parish) in hospital.
Max had worked out Oscar's plan, so when a hooded figure grabbed him in the street, he laughed along.
It was actually Ravi who had captured Max, though – and instead of fun and games, he took him to the Boxing Den and tied him up.
Just as an in-the-dark Max encouraged Oscar to "do your worst", Ravi revealed himself and, armed with a bat, menacingly replied: "I intend to."
Will Max make it out of this unscathed? And how much more explosive will things get when Priya's baby bombshell drops?
