Mr. Mike Turnipseed, age 66 of the Hiwassee community, died Tuesday morning, August 25 at Highpoint-Riverview in Carthage. He is survived by: wife, Jackie Turnipseed; son, Michael Seth Turnipseed of Hiwassee; 2 daughters, Stephanie Spurlin of Scottsville, KY, Kendra Nixon and husband Adam Graves of Adolphus, Kentucky; mother, Kathy Turnipseed of South Carthage; sister, Lisa Applegate of Lebanon; brother, David Turnipseed and wife Rita of Cookeville; 3 grandchildren, Kendell Steffen of Adolphus, Kentucky, Kolton Graves of Adolphus, Kentucky, Aspen Spurlin of Scottsville, Kentucky.
Mr. Turnipseed is at the Carthage Chapel of Sanderson Funeral Home where a visitation will begin on Friday afternoon from 3:00 PM until 7:00 PM. Visitation on Saturday will be conducted at the Hartsville Missionary Baptist Church from 9:00 AM until Services at the church at 11:00 AM. Eld. Barney Allison and Eld. Beau Beechboard will conduct the service. Interment in the Smith County Memorial Gardens with Jeff Allison and Dylan Dixon officiating. Serving as pallbearers are: Vernon Price, Donnie Stafford, Rickey Hall, Rickey Scurlock, Stephen Brooks, Sammy Jo Allison, Tayden Rigsby, Carter Robinson.
