Mrs. Karen Hewitt, age 77 of Hartsville, died Tuesday evening, August 25 at her daughter’s home in Kentucky. She is survived by: 2 daughters, Christine Marie McMillion and husband Eric of Williamsburg, VA, Shana Trent and husband Terry of Bowling Green, KY; son, Ernest William Walker of Baltimore, Maryland; 2 sisters, Lydia Eileen Waller and Mary Reeves both of Baltimore, Maryland; brother, Robert Waller Jr of Max Meadows, Virginia; 9 grandchildren; 3 great grandchildren.
Mrs. Hewitt is at the Carthage Chapel of Sanderson Funeral Home where her services will be conducted on Saturday afternoon, August 29 at 1:00 PM. Pastor T. J. Hewitt will officiate. Military Chapel Service by American Legion Post #57. Interment in the Defeated Creek Memorial Gardens. Serving as pallbearers are: Adam McMillion, Austin McMillion, Ashlee Trent, Nathaniel Trent, Tony Kamar, Adrien Pocasongra.
Visitation on Saturday only from 11:00 AM until service time at 1:00 PM.
