As fans get ready for the return of Yellowstone spin-off series Marshals, a new cast member has been confirmed for the upcoming second season.
As reported by Deadline, Marque Richardson (Unprisoned, Dear White People) has been cast in season 2, with the actor set to play a new character, Assistant US Attorney Patrick Burns.
Meanwhile, Morgan Lindholm, who played Bullet ’N Barrel bartender Maddie in season 1, who is also Cal’s (Logan Marshall-Green) estranged daughter, will return in an expanded role.
Other stars confirmed to return from season 1 include Luke Grimes as Kayce Dutton, along with Tatanka Means and Ash Santos. Others expected to remain in the cast include Marshall-Green, Arielle Kebbel, Brecken Merrill, Mo Brings Plenty and Gil Birmingham.
There isn't long left to wait now to see the new episodes, as CBS has confirmed that season 2 will premiere at 8:30pm on 4 October 2026 in the US. It is expected that it will arrive on Paramount+ in the UK at a similar time, although this has yet to be confirmed.
Marshall-Green previously said that season 2 will "pick up right where we left off, literally and figuratively", meaning there should be no gap in the story which was being told in the last batch of episodes.
A first-look teaser has already been released for the season, with it being posted exclusively by PEOPLE in July.
The teaser saw Kayce being held at gunpoint in a cabin by a group of armed men, before fighting them off and warning them not to underestimate the Duttons.
The new batch of episodes went into production in June, after the series was renewed back in March. It is one of two ongoing Yellowstone spin-offs, along with Dutton Ranch, which has also been renewed and which stars Kelly Reilly and Cole Hauser, reprising their roles as Beth and Rip.
Marshals season 1 is available to stream in full now on Paramount+.
