CJ Gardner-Johnson is dealing with a calf strain. That’s good news for the former Florida defensive back after he had to be carted to the Bills locker room on Saturday following a non-contact injury in practice.
“We’re fortunate,” Brady told reporters Monday morning. “Any time you see a lower body extremity injury in the manner in which some of those happen, there’s always a bad possibility with it. We got good news. We’ll see how his body recovers.”
The Bills coach declined to offer a timeline for Gardner-Johnson’s recovery.
I’m not really big on expectations or timetables,” Brady said. “I think that’s part of everybody’s body recovers differently. …
“I also think it’s something you say day to day and it, it becomes two weeks and it’s like, ‘oh, is there a setback? What’s happening?’ So look, when guys are ready to practice, they’re going to practice.”
