Six men have been accused of running a prostitution ring and brothels in the western suburbs following a 15-month investigation, authorities said.
The Kane County State’s Attorney’s Office in a news release said the men used false names to rent apartments associated with brothels in Aurora, West Dundee, Rockford and South Elgin. Authorities said apartments at the following locations were used as brothels:
• 500 block of Ashland Avenue, Aurora
• 800 block of Village Quarter Road, West Dundee
• 800 block of Kishwaukee Street, Rockford
• 300 block of Ann Street, South Elgin
The investigation was conducted by the Kane County State’s Attorney’s Office Human Exploitation Unit, which focuses on investigating and prosecuting human trafficking offenses, including sex and labor trafficking.
Officials with the state’s attorney’s office released the names of the suspects who were each charged with several felonies:
