We begin Monday morning with some marine layer influence for northern communities and clearing skies for Santa Barbara. All areas hold with mostly sunny skies by lunch. Temperatures rise a few degrees from days prior and many areas will reach 80s at the beaches. While the beaches will be pleasant to lay out on, the waters will be hazardous. High Surf Advisories are in effect for Ventura and LA communities while a Beach Hazard Statement is in effect for San Luis Obispo Counties. Both marine alerts expected to drop off by Tuesday evening.
We warm further Tuesday. A large high pressure system out to the east will bring many areas to summer-like temperatures. No heat alerts expected, this smaller heatwave is less impactful than last week. Be weary of going into the waters as large waves and dangerous rip currents hold. Winds may be breezy at times, but not up to advisory levels.
The gradual warming trend continues Wednesday before a small drop in temperatures through the weekend. Head out and enjoy!
