TOMY International is recalling more than 116,000 Boon PIVOT toddler tower step stools because they can tip over while a child is standing on them.
The Consumer Product Safety Commission announced the recall this week. The collapsible towers, which let toddlers stand at counter height, can tip over and cause a fall, posing a risk of serious injury or death, according to the agency. TOMY has received 11 reports of the stools shifting or leaning while in use. No injuries have been reported so far.

The recall covers the Boon PIVOT Collapsible Toddler Tower, a step stool that folds flat for storage. About 116,000 were sold in the United States, with roughly 2,000 more in Canada. They sold online at retailers including Amazon, Target.com and Babylist between January 2023 and June 2026 for around $150. Owners can match their tower against the official CPSC recall notice to confirm.

What to Do If You Have One
Parents should stop using the tower and keep it out of reach until it is fixed. Rather than a refund, TOMY is offering a free repair, sending repair parts and installation instructions. Consumers can reach the company at 866-725-4407 for the kit.
