LEAVITTSBURG — Bonita Jean Daum, 77, of Leavittsburg, passed away on Thursday, July 9, 2026, at the Hospice House.
She was born Nov. 21, 1948, in Warren, a daughter of the late Andrew Saxon and the late Sophie Ann Vesa Saxon.
She worked as a school bus driver.
Bonita enjoyed horses, horseback riding and animals of any type. She liked the outdoors, going primitive camping and butterflies. Most of all, she enjoyed spending time with her family.
She is survived by her spouse, Jon Daum; children, Renee (Ed) Mitchell of Leavittsburg, Jesse (Nancy) Daum of Youngstown and Shane (Jeff) Hillier of Warren; sisters, Elizabeth A. Kistler of Warren, Yvonne Saxon Franks of Warren and Nicolette Hurton; grandchildren, Sage Veney, Zachary (Laura) Heavner, Sarah (Steven) Carter, Azia (Nathaniel) Gray, Emily (Tyler) Folman, Daniel Daum and Alayna Daum; great-grandchildren, Saleyna and Alexander Gray, and Paysleigh Heavner.
She was preceded in death by her parents; granddaughter, Kylie Daum; and great-granddaughter, Na’Leigha Gray.
Services will be held at 5 p.m. on Wednesday, July 15, 2026, at Carl W. Hall Funeral Home, where Pastor Bill Carter will officiate.
Friends may call from 4 p.m. until service time at the funeral home.
