Bunnie Xo has some words for body-shamers who took aim at her for gaining weight while going through in vitro fertilization (IVF).
Bunnie, 46, shut down "miserable" people who make rude comments during the Tuesday, July 7, episode of her Dumb Blonde podcast.
"As I was going through IVF, it put weight on me, and people would be like, ‘Oh, she’s bigger than her husband now,'" said Bunnie, who is currently going through a divorce from estranged husband Jelly Roll. "And you’re literally trying to make a baby with your body."
She added, "It’s like people just have no respect. ... I’ve learned that it’s just miserable people who have nothing better to do than just comment on other people’s lives. So, you can’t ever let that get to you."
Bunnie explained that her endometriosis "just fed off of" the IVF hormones, causing her lower stomach to "pooch out" and look "three months pregnant."
“The only thing that took it away was microdosing the GLP-1," she revealed, adding that taking the drug was "not just about losing weight or taking a shortcut," but reducing inflammation in her body.
Jelly Roll, 41, filed for divorce from Bunnie after nearly a decade of marriage back in May, but the former couple has still expressed interest in continuing their IVF journey together.
"You guys are going to be shocked to hear this, but we’re still having a baby," Bunnie revealed last month on her podcast, saying that she and the country star, who is already father to 18-year-old daughter Bailee Ann and 9-year-old son Noah, still planned on co-parenting a child together.
"I’m so excited to live my life through a child’s eyes, which is why, with this baby journey, I’m not going to let it break me," she continued. "And I’m not going to detour it. J has been so great about us still having a baby together, and he wants the same thing."
