We finally know what Christina Boyd (Amy Robbins) is hiding in Coronation Street – and why she took so long to pick up Todd Grimshaw (Gareth Pierce) on the night of his husband Theo Silverton's (James Cartwright) death.
As viewers will recall, she was hauled into questioning when CCTV cameras showed she was actually in Hyde at the time she was supposed to be picking Todd up from a telephone box on Balaclava Terrace.
Police accepted that she was going to get petrol, despite Hyde being over a half an hour drive from Weatherfield in the City of Salford.
Earlier this week, Glenda Shuttleworth (Jodie Prenger) noticed her sneaking out of a car, and alerted brother George (Tony Maudsley) to the situation. He was reluctant to believe that anything sinister was going on, though was forced to confront Glenda's doubts when she found further evidence.
While Christina nipped to the loo, Glenda found a credit card statement belonging to Mary Taylor (Patti Clare) in her handbag.
In today's episode, George followed Christina down to the precinct and was stunned to see her embracing a man, Lenny (Joe Osborne). He demanded answers, and Christina promised him that she would tell him the full truth.
The couple headed to the Rovers, and she admitted to having a spending addiction. She'd set up a credit card in her ex-husband Lenny's name, and he'd found out.
Christina then explained that he wasn't the only one she'd defrauded, and that Mary and Glenda had also fallen victim. George was disgusted, but agreed to attend an addicts support group at the community centre with her to try and make things right.
He advised her to come clean to their housemates about what was going on in the hope they'd understand, but they weren't as forgiving as George.
Glenda was lost for words, while Mary exclaimed that she'd met one too many liars in her life and that her forgiveness would have to be earned.
How will Christina get herself out of this mess, and is there more trouble still to come?
