Nate Carson announced his South Carolina commitment on Friday. Out of Columbia (South Carolina) Irmo High School, Carson is listed as measuring 6-4 and 290 pounds. He’s rated 4-stars, the No. 6 player in the state of South Carolina, No. 23 offensive tackle and No. 269 prospect overall in the Class of 2027 on the 247Sports Composite.
As one of the top tackles, Carson drew some notable interest during his recruitment.
For Friday’s announcement, Carson named South Carolina, Georgia, Clemson and Colorado as his 4 finalists. He’s the third blue-chip commitment in as many days for the Gamecocks, joining 5-star cornerback Joshua Dobson and 4-star safety Davion Jones.
