Hudson Westbrook’s breakout hit “House Again” has reached a major career milestone, earning a double platinum certification from the Recording Industry Association of America (RIAA) after surpassing two million units sold in the United States.
According to Country Chord, the song officially received its 2x Platinum certification on June 18, marking another significant achievement for the fast-rising country singer-songwriter.
The accomplishment comes even though “House Again” never reached No. 1 on the Billboard Hot Country Songs chart, making its commercial success even more notable.
The milestone was formally recognized earlier this year during a celebration at BMI’s Nashville office. During the event, Warner Records Nashville presented Westbrook with a plaque announcing that the single had been certified 2x Platinum by the RIAA.

Written by Hudson Westbrook, Dan Alley and Neil Medley, “House Again” was produced by Lukas Scott and Ryan Youmans. The emotional ballad appears on Westbrook’s debut album, Texas Forever, and has become one of the defining songs of his young career.

The song follows a narrator moving through a once-loved home after a relationship ends. Each room triggers memories of the person who is gone, creating an emotional story that resonated with fans across the country.
The song’s popularity quickly translated into strong streaming and sales numbers. It accumulated more than 45 million Spotify streams during its early run and eventually became Westbrook’s first major chart hit.
While “House Again” peaked at No. 33 on the Billboard Hot 100, No. 10 on the Hot Country Songs chart, and No. 6 on Country Airplay, it never captured the top position on those rankings. Still, its longevity and fan support helped push the song beyond the two-million-unit threshold.
The double platinum milestone arrives during one of the busiest periods of Westbrook’s career.
In May, BMI celebrated “House Again” as Westbrook’s first-ever chart-topping radio single. The event also honored his co-writers and producers while recognizing the song’s commercial success.
Meanwhile, Westbrook has continued releasing new music. In April, he unveiled “Backwards,” a heartbreak track that he described on Instagram as his “favorite song yet.”
