Last year’s Strictly Come Dancing favourite La Voix is heading to EastEnders.
There’s a sprinkle of celebrity stardust when Cindy Beale (Michelle Collins) books the drag queen to perform in The Prince Albert. The Walford community are celebrating Pride in London, though Zoe Slater (Michelle Ryan) fears that The Vic’s event won’t meet the high expectations of her twins, Jasmine Fisher (Indeyarna Donaldson-Holness) and Josh Goodwin (Joshua Vaughan).
She plots to hijack the performance and lure her to their boozer. Will they succeed, and how will Cindy react?
Elsewhere, Chelsea Fox (Zaraah Abrahams) worries about her family discovering Sheila Atkins's (Sheila Ruskin) identity, and Priya Nandra-Hart (Sophie Khan Levy) plays dirty with Max Branning (Jake Wood) as his fiancé Cindy plans an engagement party.
Meanwhile, there's drama for Honey Mitchell (Emma Barton) as the Albert Square women try to make her see Bea Pollard's (Ronni Ancona) true colours, and Avani Nandra-Hart (Aaliyah James) worries that Joel Marshall (Max Murray) is about to return home.
Here's everything happening in EastEnders between Monday 29 June and Thursday 2 July.
1. Chelsea Fox is conflicted by Sheila Atkins's intervention
Money worries continue to cast a long shadow over Chelsea, and there’s another complication she’s desperate to keep under control. Without the Fox-Trueman clan's knowledge, Sheila has been stepping in with financial support for Jordan (Jahsaiah Williams), leaving Chelsea deeply uneasy about her connection to Gray (Toby-Alexander Smith).
When she and Libby unexpectedly cross paths with Sheila, they reluctantly agree to let her into the house. However, a tense moment soon sets alarm bells ringing. and Chelsea is left unnerved by the newcomer's behaviour, questioning what she really wants.
Refusing to back down, Sheila later makes another attempt to get through to her. Although Chelsea initially shuts her out, Sheila drops a bombshell by revealing she paid for the specialist wheelchair Jordan requires. She then hints that this may only be the beginning, suggesting she’s willing to contribute even more towards his future.
2. Priya Nandra-Hart plays a dangerous game with Max Branning
Wedding preparations gather pace for Cindy as she turns her attention to organising her engagement bash, but she’s frustrated to find little enthusiasm from either Gina Knight (Francesca Henry) or Peter Beale (Thomas Law). Convinced Max isn’t interested either, she’s caught off guard when he suddenly starts championing the idea of a lavish celebration.
Determined to make the event a success, Cindy recruits Priya – alongside Jean Slater (Gillian Wright) – to help transform The Vic for the occasion. During the preparations, Jean accidentally says the wrong thing and leaves Priya upset.
Trying to make amends, Jean offers a sympathetic ear, prompting Priya to reveal the truth about Ravi Gulati (Aaron Thiara) leaving his family.
Max grows concerned about what Priya might expose. When a confrontation between her and Cindy threatens to boil over, he steps in, forcing Priya to leaves and issue him with a pointed warning.
In the aftermath, he struggles to shake off the threat, much to her amusement.
As the engagement party finally gets underway, Priya ensures all eyes are on her.
Making a striking entrance, she openly flirts her way around the room, and her behaviour quickly leaves Cindy wondering whether there’s more going on than meets the eye.
3. Honey Mitchell makes a shocking discovery about Bea Pollard
Tensions continue to simmer between Honey and husband Billy (Perry Fenwick), and the situation becomes even more complicated when Bea moves back in. Suspicious of her motives, Will (Freddie Phillips) secretly attempts to access information from her phone, intending to pass anything useful on to Billy.
Bea encourages Honey to put the past behind her and move forward. However, Honey later stumbles upon Billy and Will examining the information they’ve gathered, and dismisses their concerns outright.
Undeterred, the pair seek support from Linda Carter (Kellie Bright), hoping she might see things differently.
As Bea’s conduct becomes increasingly alarming, Linda joins Elaine Peacock (Harriet Thorpe), Kathy Beale (Gillian Taylforth) and Nicola Mitchell (Laura Doddington) in arranging an intervention for Honey.
Suddenly, the more she reflects on recent events, the more uneasy she becomes. Gradually, Honey starts to wonder whether Billy and Will may have been right all along and begins to suspect Bea could be responsible for the mysterious dating profile.
At the same time, Billy discovers that Bea’s former landlord may hold crucial information about her past.
Following this promising lead, Honey digs deeper and uncovers a revelation that leaves her stunned. Meanwhile, Billy attempts to cut ties with Bea once and for all, but the situation rapidly spirals out of control, placing him in grave danger.
