Morningstar Farms has issued a voluntary recall for two of its popular frozen products across the United States, Puerto Rico, and Costa Rica, as they may contain pieces of plastic.

The two items are 10.5-ounce packages of Buffalo Chik'n Nuggets as well as 8-ounce packages of Hot & Spicy Sausage Patties. As of publication, Morningstar Farms has indicated that none of the brand’s other products have been affected by the recall.
The affected Buffalo Chik'n Nuggets packages have a UPC code of 000 28989 10110 5, with best if used by dates of July 7, 2027, and July 8, 2028. The Hot & Spicy Sausage Patties affected have a UPC code of 000 28989 10094 8, with best if used by dates of July 5, 2027, July 6, 2027, and July 7, 2027.

Customers who purchased the affected products are urged to discard them and contact the company for a full refund. Consumers can contact Kellanova Consumer Affairs Monday through Friday, 9 a.m. to 6 p.m. EST, by calling 800-962-0120 or by texting 877-453-5837.
In addition to the nuggets and sausage patties, Morningstar Farms makes a wide variety of vegetarian and vegan frozen foods. There are veggie burgers, vegetarian patties, nuggets, and tenders that taste similar to chicken, corn dogs, breakfast items like vegetarian sausage and bacon, as well as appetizers like vegetarian pepperoni pizza bites.
