Kylie Kelce may finally have the argument that gets Jason Kelce to agree to a cat.
The Not Gonna Lie host opened the latest episode of her podcast with a story about a recent mice problem inside the home she shares with Jason, their four daughters and their two dogs. The whole thing started with a dishwasher error, but it quickly became much worse.
According to Kylie, the discovery may finally get her the cat she wants.

Kylie explained that she is very particular about kitchen cleanliness, especially when it comes to the dishwasher.
"It makes my heart happy," she said, according to Entertainment Weekly. "I like to blast basically power wash my dishes and then heat them to a temperature that is going to annihilate anything that could possibly be on them."
When the dishwasher showed an error code related to the heat pump, Kylie called for a repair. Once the repairman pulled out the appliance, she said a "waterfall of dog food" came out with it.
Kylie said rodents had apparently been storing dog food inside the dishwasher and chewing through the wires.

"I was angrily bleaching the entire kitchen floor because there was mouse droppings and I don't want hantavirus," she said.
"This is not a matter of cleanliness," Kylie said. "I wanna be clear on that. There's gonna be so many people with opinions on this. 'They have mice in their house.' You probably do too. You can't keep them out."
Kylie made her feelings about mice very clear, saying, "I hate mice."
Kylie Kelce Said a Cat May Be the Answer
"It might, maybe, end up in a situation where there is a feline resident," she said.
The Kelce family's cat debate has been going on for a while, and Jason has not exactly been eager to add one to the house.

Jason Kelce Has Been Fighting the Cat Campaign
Jason's anti-cat stance has become part of the family lore.
In March 2025, Kylie said on Not Gonna Lie that their daughter Wyatt wanted to get a cat from the ASPCA, but Jason was trying to discourage it.
"My husband has told our daughters that cats are poisonous. He is desperate to not have a cat, which is hilarious… [because] he grew up with a cat, Flash, who he was forever impressed by [when] she would catch birds mid-air in the backyard, and it blew his mind," Kylie said at the time, according to Entertainment Weekly.
Taylor Swift later joked on New Heights that she tried to prove otherwise by introducing Jason and Kylie's kids to her own cats. Swift said there was "no better way to prove" cats were not poisonous than handing them Benjamin Button, her ragdoll cat, who lets people hold him like a baby.
Jason did eventually admit there was one kind of cat he might consider.
"There's a chance I've been talked into a barn cat," he told Swift on New Heights, according to People.
