An investigation remains underway after a woman and a man were shot and killed in suburban Bellwood on Monday.
According to authorities, officers were called to the 1100 block of West 32nd Street at approximately 1:33 a.m. for a report of shots fired in the area.
When they arrived, they found an 18-year-old man and a 23-year-old woman who had both suffered multiple gunshot wounds, according to a press release. Both victims were pronounced dead at area hospitals a short time later.
The Cook County Medical Examiner has now identified the victims as 23-year-old Sincere Aaron and 18-year-old Bishop Jenkins. Both were ruled to have died from multiple gunshot wounds, and their deaths have both been ruled homicides, according to the report.
The West Suburban Major Crimes Task Force is assisting Bellwood police with the investigation, and no further information was immediately available.
