90s Supergroup, With Historic First Album, Announces Major Changes on 2026 World Tour

Supergroup A Perfect Circle revealed an exciting announcement to fans as they gear up for their upcoming tour.

Celebrated for their unique blend of progressive art metal and alternative rock, as well as being highly influential members of different bands, the group delivered major changes to their Pacific Ring of Fire Tour.

    In an Instagram post, the five-piece band, consisting of Tool’s Maynard James Keenan as lead vocalist, Ashes Divide’s Billy Howerdel on lead guitar and piano, The Smashing Pumpkins’ James Iha on rhythm guitar and keyboards, Eagles of Death Metal’s Matt McJunkins on bass guitar and Jeff Friedl from The Beta Machine, Filter and Devo on drums and percussion, added additional shows covering major cities in Japan, Hawaii, Chile and another performance in Sydney for their global tour.

    In addition, A Perfect Circle will be joined by electro rock band Puscifer, a group founded by Keenan, for their series of shows in Mexico, onward across South America, Australia, New Zealand, Japan and Hawaii.”

    Howerdel, who is also A Perfect Circle’s co-founder, expressed his enthusiasm for the upcoming tour, especially with the changes to the lineup.

    “Pretty, pretty excited to be getting back to places we haven’t played in over 20 years,” he shared as cited by MNPR Magazine. “Adding Japan and Hawaii to our 2026 Pacific Ring of Fire tour, with Puscifer joining us across the world.”

    Other than Puscifer, the Pacific Ring of Fire Tour will also feature performances from French singer Jehnny Beth, opening shows in Berlin, Prague, Luxembourg and Paris. While British singer-songwriter A.A. Williams will join the band for their performance at AFAS Live in Amsterdam.

    The surprising move from the band came after some of their shows were already sold out, helping accommodate fans from various countries.

    Based on their update, the two-day show in London and the first-night run in Sydney were at full capacity.

    The band’s commercial success came after releasing their first album, Mer de Noms, which had the highest-ever debut for a rock band's first album at the time, debuting at No. 4 on the Billboard 200.

    The remarkable feat from A Perfect Circle showcased their explosive impact on the rock scene.
