The FBI reported that the perpetrators of the Monday attack on the Islamic Center complex in Claremont, San Diego met online and left behind writings containing hate speech against multiple religions and ethnicities.

FBI agent Mark Remley said Tuesday that authorities found messages and posts from the two suspects containing extremist and hate-inciting content.

    Authorities confirmed they seized 30 firearms, in addition to a crossbow, from two homes searched as part of the ongoing investigation into the deadly attack, RT reported.

    San Diego police had earlier announced that the death toll from the shooting had risen to five, after initial estimates indicated only one fatality.

    The attack occurred around 11:40 am local time inside the Islamic Center complex located at 7050 Ekstrom Street, which houses a mosque and al-Rashid Islamic School.
