Newton Falls 15, Campbell 1 — Stats were not reported by print deadline.
REGULAR SEASON
Howland 2, Boardman 1 (8 Inn.) — McKenna Perry of Howland and Gabi Sferra of Boardman had 11 strikeouts each in a classic pitchers duel. Both pitched the entire game, as Howland won with a walk off hit in the bottom of the 8th inning. Perry had a hit and an RBI for the Tigers as did Marissa Ray. Madison Schmitz added a pair of hits. Addie Kowacich had a hit and an RBI for Boardman.
Cardinal Mooney 5, Beaver Local 1 — Lexi McKinstry struck out 15 batters for Mooney, allowing just two hits in seven innings. McKinstry also hit a home run and had three RBIs. Lily Sardich added a home run and two RBIs and Audrina Jablonski hit a solo shot for the Cardinals. Addie Thurik homered for Beaver Local and Ciara Call struck out six.
Poland 20, Mineral Ridge 4 — Poland had 21 hits, led by Leanna Boccieri’s lead off home run. Boccieri totaled three hits and two RBIs and Avery Jakubovic added three hits and three RBIs for the Bulldogs. Emma Boccieri and Sydney Bulick added three hits and two RBIs each. Cassie Blanch added a home run, totaling two hits and three RBIs. Rounding out Poland’s offense, Kilaney Berendt had two hits including a double and two RBIs and Madison Medvec had two singles. For Mineral Ridge, Sullivan Sandy had two hits with a double. Alyssa Ylonen doubled and Randi Blackann added a single.
Badger 8, Chalker 5 — No stats were provided.
BASEBALL
Lakeview 13, West Branch 10 — Nathan Paolucci had five hits for Lakeview and drove in a run. Brandon Cash and Jozef Kuchinski had a hit and two RBIs each for the Bulldogs and Nicolas Aho had a hit and an RBI. Paolucci also pitched the first five innings, striking out five. West Branch was led by Thomas with four hits and two RBIs. Webb added two hits and drove in three runs for the Warriors.
Crestview 2, Warren JFK 1 — E. Cope led Crestview with a hit and an RBI. G. Snyder added an RBI for the Rebels, who broke a 1-1 tie in the final at bat. Dylan Sforza led the Eagles with a hit and an RBI and Graham Seese went the distance, striking out five.
Garrettsville Garfield 5, Pymatuning Valley 4 — Garfield scored three runs in the bottom of the 7th to win in walkoff fashion. B. Pesicek led the G-Men with three hits and two RBIs. L. Workman, #10 and #9 had a hit and an RBI each. B. Bogucki had four hits for the G-Men. C. Legg led Pymatuning Valley with three hits and two RBIs.
Cardinal Mooney 7, University School 6 — Vincent Gentile led Mooney with two hits and an RBI, as the Cardinals used a five run barrage in their final at bat to erase a 6-2 deficit. Ford Stacy added two hits and RBIs and the duo of Taco Verocco and Ben Oddis had a hit and two RBIs each. J. Nelson and B. Berglund had a hit and two RBIs each for University.
Mathews 11, Jackson-Milton 2 — Kam Kester, Jared Pegg, Caden Brown and Colton Kish had two hits each for Mathews. Kester drove in three runs and Kish had two RBIs. Jimmy Pegg drove in three more Mustangs runs and Caleb Nicula brought two runners home. Pegg also started at pitcher, striking out five. Jack McDevitt struck out six for Jackson-Milton.
Howland 5, Boardman 4 — Brayden Kovarik singled and drove in the winning run to walk it off for Howland. Keaton Perry led the Tigers with four hits and Deacon Mock added two. Donovan Whippo led Boardman with two hits and an RBI. Tyler Helmick and Thomas Ramovs drove in a run each for the Spartans.
Newton Falls 4, East 3 — Newton Falls broke a 3-3 tie in the bottom of the seventh inning. Leland Vargo led the Tigers with two hits. Zayne Shelton and Hunter Persin added a hit each. Shelton added nine strikeouts as the starting pitcher. For East, Derrick Hayes had three hits and an RBI and Victor Rodrigues totaled two hits, including a home run. Fransisco Rodriguez-Santos also had a hit and an RBI for the Bears.
BOYS LACROSSE

Boardman 16, Poland 4 — Luke DeJoseph and Chase Zelsnak scored four goals each to lead the Boardman attack. Zelsnak assisted on five more goals and DeJoseph had three. Kyle Congsen added a goal for the Spartans and assisted on two DeJoseph goals. Tyler Holcomb and Mikey Montgomery added a goal each as Boardman was firing on all cylinders. CJ Rice and Michael Sosnowski also scored a goal, giving every Boardman senior at least one goal on the season.
