A 37-year-old man suffered life-threatening injuries Friday after being struck in a hit-and-run in the Midway District.
The collision occurred around 12:40 a.m. Friday near the intersection of Camino Del Rio West and Kurtz Street, according to the San Diego Police Department.
Police said the pedestrian was walking west near the south crosswalk when an unknown vehicle traveling south on Camino Del Rio West drove through the intersection and hit him. The driver fled the scene immediately.
Medics transported the victim by ambulance to a hospital, where he was treated for a brain bleed and fractured pelvis.
Ass of the early morning, police do not have a description of the suspect nor the vehicle involved. The Traffic Division is leading the ongoing investigation.
