In an Instagram post, Latimer shared a carousel of photos and videos to tease her new gig. The first image was from the previous episode, where Eve was in cowboy mode at the rodeo, but the second slide showed her official Fire Country director’s chair.

Latimer can be seen in director mode in the next video as she watches a scene being filmed. The rest of the social media shares feature behind-the-scenes moments, including the teens at Three Rock having fun, Jordan Calloway (Jake) gearing up for a scene, and him posing with Diane Farr (Sharon).

“Cowboy Eve ———> Director Jules Directed my first episode of television and it was one of the coolest things I’ve ever done. Photos from @firesheriffcbs season because I barely took photos while directing, but god I love my job!!” she expressed in the caption.

The actress also spoke with TV Insider to gush over her first time wearing the director's hat. Latimer got real about directing her cast members, whom she has been working with for four seasons.

“It’s funny seeing what all my fellow castmates need as a director. I think the main thing was me finding my voice. And I knew that preparation was key for me because we have some very inquisitive and fantastic actors on the show,” Latimer spilled.

She also admitted that her co-stars gave her a lot of grace and patience when she was directing the episode. Latimer spilled that the first few days, she was humbled and made mistakes, but her cast members were so extremely understanding.

“But then I really got my legs underneath me and I feel like we collaborated and came up with some really great things,” the actress stated.

Latimer didn’t give away any details of her directorial debut episode. She did, though, reveal she got to blow stuff up as a director, direct some romantic scenes, and direct some fire scenes.

Season 4 has been the year of Fire Country stars taking on the director role. Farr and Calloway also directed episodes this season, while Kevin Alejandro (Manny) directed episodes of Sheriff Country.

Fire Country airs Fridays at 9/8c on CBS.
