Florida star forward Alex Condon is coming back for another run in Gainesville next season.
The 6-foot-11 Condon, who was instrumental in Florida’s national championship victory in 2024-25, revealed on Wednesday afternoon on his Instagram account that he’s not going anywhere next season except back to Gainesville.
In a passionate Instagram post, Condon simply wrote “back to work,” which in this case means back to work at Florida and playing for Todd Golden to try to get the Gators back to glory after their shocking second-round exit in last season’s NCAA Tournament.
In addition to his Instagram post, Condon also spoke to ESPN about his return to Florida, which will significantly boost the Gators’ chances to get back to the Final Four.
“It’s not the result that we wanted at the end of the year,” Condon told ESPN. “I think we’re a better team than that. So, (we) left a bit of unfinished business with the Gators. So to go back to school and compete — we know what it’s like to win a national championship, and that’s the number one goal for me.”
Condon will be a senior next season, and he’ll be ultra motivated to finish his career the right way after the stinging NCAA Tournament loss last month. The 2-time All-SEC selection will be heading back to Florida for his 4th season in the program that he’s helped turn back into a national powerhouse.
He put up strong numbers once again this past season, averaging 15.1 points, 7.5 rebounds and 3.6 assists. Condon was also very efficient, shooting 55.6% from the field. Condon also averaged 1.4 blocks per contest while playing a career-high 30.5 minutes per game.
