Established in 2019 by the former members of In Flames — Jesper Strömblad, Mikael Stanne, Niclas Engelin, Peter Iwers and Daniel Svensson — The Halo Effect was created to return to the 1990s "Gothenburg sound" that pioneered the melodic death metal genre. They released their debut single "Shadowminds" in 2021, then their first album, Days of the Lost, a year later.

"What I loved about the first album with The Halo Effect was that it was just new,” said singer Stanne. "We didn’t know what we wanted to do. It was just for fun, to amuse ourselves and each other."

Last year, the group released an EP, We Are The Shadows, and their sophomore album, March of the Unheard.

In addition, the Italian gothic metal band Lacuna Coil will be co-headlining the series of shows alongside The Halo Effect. Since their formation in 1994, the band has changed their name twice, released 10 studio albums, two EPs, two live albums, two compilation albums and one video album. In addition, they have won multiple awards at the MTV Awards, Metal Female Voices Fest, Metal Hammer Award for the Best International Band and more, as well as peaked at No. 15 on the Billboard 200 for their sixth studio album, Dark Adrenaline.

"Hell yeah, this tour’s going to be mean!???," the official Lacuna Coil Instagram account commented, minutes after The Halo Effect announced the tour.

Lastly, Finnish band Omnium Gatherum will serve as the tour's opening act. The group, which consists of Markus Vanhala, Aapo Koivisto, Jukka Pelkonen, Mikko Kivistö, Atte Pesonen and Joonas "Jope" Koto, formed in 1996 and is also signed with Nuclear Blast, the same record label as The Halo Effect.

Tickets can be found on The Halo Effect's official website, and will go on sale this Friday at 4 a.m ET.
