Jan. 11 had briefly surfaced online as a possible point of significance, with unconfirmed reports that someone suspicious may have been seen in Guthrie's neighborhood on that evening. Some reports indicated that the masked individual on Guthrie's front stoop seen on Feb. 1, actually showed up at her home on Jan. 11, perhaps to do a trial run or to case the home. Moreover, there was some indication that the photos of the unidentified individual without a gun or backpack were taken on Jan. 11—three weeks before Guthrie's disappearance.
Now, Nanos is addressing the confusion directly, explaining why the date came up in the first place and what investigators want the public to understand moving forward.
Talking to NBC News correspondent Liz Kreutz, Nanos confirmed that Google initially said that the footage of the masked individual at Guthrie's home appeared to be take on Jan. 11 and in the overnight hours of Feb. 1. However, Google has walked back those comments, Nanos says.
"Google initially reported that date as a 'possibility' then later retracted the statement," Nanos said.

"We hope people search their memories, especially around the key timelines of Jan. 31 and the early morning hours of Feb.1, as well as the late evening of Jan. 11," the family's latest statement reads, in part.
Guthrie, 84, has been missing since Sunday, Feb. 1.
