March 12-15, 2026 Idaho Central Aquatic Center, Boise, Idaho Short Course Yards (25 yards), Prelims/Finals Psych Sheets Meet Central/Results Live Results on Meet Mobile: “2026 NW Spring Speedo Sectionals – Boise” Day 1 RecapFalfins Swimming 15-year-old Grace Perry continued to make a statement at the 2026 NW Speedo Sectionals in Boise, winning the 200 free and anchoring the winning 400 free relay in 48.98 on Friday.
Perry started the evening with a win in the 200 freestyle, touching in 1:47.66 to come in more than a second ahead of 16-year-old Sedona Stratton‘s 1:49.20 for 2nd. This swim was a personal best* for Perry, who had previously swum 1:48.18 at the Colorado High School State Championships.
Perry’s previous time of 1:48.18 from the meet is altitude adjusted to 1:46.98.Stratton, who finished 2nd in the event, added a tenth from her lifetime best of 1:49.10 that she swam in January.
Perry went on to anchor Falfins’ 400 freestyle relay, which won the gold medal in 3:27.78, about five tenths ahead of Sawtooth Aquatic Club, who swam 3:28.48 for the silver medal. Perry swam the anchor leg on that relay, splitting 48.98 to be the only swimmer in the field to split under 50 seconds in the event.
This was her first time coming in under 49 seconds with her previous fastest split sitting at 49.76 from her anchor leg at the Colorado High School State meet.
The rest of her relay consisted of Myra Li (51.96), Bryn Baker (53.09), and Evie Gray (53.75).
Other Individual Event Winners
Girls’ 100 Back: Myra Li (FLFN)– 55.30; This swim was a new personal best time by seven tenths from the 56.02 Li swam in November. She was the only swimmer under 56 seconds with Sawtooth’s Brayleigh Hoisington finishing 2nd in 56.07. Boys’ 100 Back: Breck Boyd (AVON) — 49.18; A UCSB commit for 2026, Boyd dropped nearly half-a-second from the 49.61 he swam at the winter Juniors West Championships in December. 15-year-old Jacob Furqueron of the Spokane Waves finished 2nd in 49.85 Boys’ 200 Free: Jake McCoy (UN) — 1:35.80; McCoy, who just finished his freshman season at Tennessee, dropped a tenth from the 1:35.99 he swam at the CSCAA Dual Meet Tournament in November. He beat BYU’s Ethan Purcell, who swam 1:39.09 Girls’ 400 IM: Reagan Edquid (BEAR) — 4:28.23; 16-year-old Edquid was the only swimmer in the event under 4:30. She added about five seconds from the 4:23.07 she swam in February. Kayla Wieckowski finished 2nd in 4:32.60 Boys’ 400 IM: Jacob Furqueron (SWAT) — 4:02.96; In his 2nd event of the night, Spokane Waves 15-year-old Jacob Furqueron swam 4:02.96 to win the 400 IM by more than seven seconds over teammate 15-year-old Benjamin Morgan‘s 4:11.07.
