Remember in 2022, Kyle Davidson was at the one-inch line on a blockbuster trade that would have sent Brandon Hagel and Marc-Andre Fleury to the Leafs for a package including Knies that was supposedly declined by Brendan Shanahan. From what I’m hearing, the Hawks haven’t waivered in their desire to land Knies. We’ll see if Toronto makes him available this coming summer… and if the Hawks take another swing.
