Wednesday, March 18 – Saturday, March 21, 2026 McAuley Aquatic Center, Atlanta, GA Defending Champions: Virginia (5x) Championship Central Psych Sheet Live Results Live VideoThe official psych sheets for the 2026 Women’s NCAA Championships dropped on Wednesday, confirming the 281 female swimmers who will compete in the biggest meet of the season in two weeks in Atlanta.
With the entry lists finalized, we can now score out the psych sheets to see how the team race projects to unfold, and to no surprise, it’s the University of Virginia sitting atop the rankings.
The five-time defending champion Cavaliers are in a fantastic position to make it six in a row, sitting 235 points clear of 2nd-place Michigan in the scored psych sheets (which don’t include diving).
UVA is seeded to score 569.5 points, while Michigan (334.5) and Stanford (326.5) are locked in a tight race for 2nd with Texas (295.5), Cal (286) and Tennessee (279) not too far behind.
For reference, the Cavaliers were projected to score 534 points last season and finished with 544, winning the title by 127 points over Stanford.

Virginia is seeded to score an incredible 369.5 individual points, nearly double the total of the next-highest team, Texas (188.5). The Cavaliers are also projected to score the maximum 200 relay points as the top seed in all five events—that was also the case last year, when they ended up with 194 after winning four and placing 2nd to Stanford in the 800 free relay. Virginia’s 235-point margin over the next-best team, Michigan, would on its own rank 8th in the projections. Michigan comes in owning the #2 seed (334.5 points) after they placed 9th last season with 196 points. However, it’s worth noting they had the sixth-most points on the 2025 psych sheets (209.5 points), and fell three spots in the standings. Indiana was one point behind the Wolverines in 2025 psych sheet scoring, but finished more than 100 points clear of them at NCAAs with 312. Although the Hoosiers scored 47 diving points, they still outperformed their seeded points in the pool by a wide margin (+56.5 with 265). Compared to the other top-ranked teams, Texas is losing a lot of ground on the relays, seeded to score just 107 points, which is the lowest among the top eight. This is due in part to the Longhorns being seeded outside the top eight in the 200 free (10th), and the 200 and 400 medley (9th) relays. Florida, 6th last season, ranks 12th in psych sheet scoring with 83.5 points, including just 18 on relays. Last year, the Gators scored 110 relay points.POINTS PER EVENT
