SHERIFF’S REPORTS
The following were compiled from reports prepared by the Mendocino County Sheriff’s Office:
PETTY THEFT WITH PRIORS: Tina M. Carter, 51, of Ukiah, was booked at county jail Feb. 27 on suspicion of petty theft with priors, possession of a controlled substance, possession of drug paraphernalia, and illegal possession of a shopping cart. She was arrested by the Ukiah Police Department.
ILLEGAL WEAPON: Ira R. Reyes, 40, of Covelo, was booked at county jail Feb. 27 on suspicion of illegally possessing a firearm and ammunition, violating his county parole, and for driving with a license suspended/revoked for DUI. He was arrested by the MCSO.
DUI: Shawn G. Thomas, 55, of Mendocino, was booked at county jail Feb. 27 on suspicion of driving under the influence of a drug. He was arrested by the California Highway Patrol.
DUI: John L. Francis, 53, of Ukiah, was booked at county jail March 1 on suspicion of driving under the influence of alcohol, driving with a suspended license, possession of a controlled substance, and violating his probation. He was arrested by the UPD.
DOMESTIC VIOLENCE: Luis A. RamirezAraiza, 19, of Fort Bragg, was booked at county jail March 1 on suspicion of domestic violence, false imprisonment with violence, sexual battery by restraint and damaging a communications device. He was arrested by the Fort Bragg Police Department.
ILLEGAL WEAPON: Jaime Rivera, 48, of Ukiah, was booked at county jail March 2 on suspicion of illegally possessing a firearm and ammunition and carrying a loaded firearm in public. He was arrested by the UPD.
DUI: Samuel S. Rose, 33, of Davis, was booked at county jail March 2 on suspicion of driving under the influence of alcohol. He was arrested by the CHP.
CHILD CRUELTY: Nicole Y. Wilson, 42, of Redwood Valley, was booked at county jail March 2 on suspicion of willful cruelty to a child causing possible injury or death, and being under the influence of a controlled substance. She was arrested by the MCSO.
Those arrested by law enforcement officers are innocent until proven guilty. People reported as having been arrested may contact the Daily Journal once their case has been concluded so the results can be reported. Those who feel the information is in error should contact the appropriate agency. In the case of those arrested on suspicion of driving under the influence of an intoxicant, all DUI cases reported by law enforcement agencies are reported by the newspaper.
