A California man who works as a DJ for local children’s parties is accused of raping a 17-year-old girl when she was unconscious, after she had been given “illicit drugs,” according to authorities.
The DJ, Glenn Canyon Childers, was also caught with hundreds of files of child pornography during a law enforcement investigation, the Orange County District Attorney’s Office said in a news release issued on Monday, March 2.
Childers, 32, was arrested at his home in Los Alamitos on February 24, according to prosecutors.
He is charged with multiple felonies, including one count of rape of an unconscious person, one count of rape by use of drugs, one count of possession of child pornography, and several misdemeanors including seven counts of possession of a controlled substance, the district attorney’s office said.
Childers, who is due in court for an arraignment on March 26, was released from the Orange County Jail after he posted a $100,000 bond, according to officials.

It was unclear whether Childers had retained legal counsel as of Tuesday, March 3.
The alleged rape of the 17-year-old girl was reported to Los Alamitos police on August 31, 2025, prosecutors said.
Authorities did not specify where the assault occurred.
According to prosecutors, officers were informed that there was an “underage girl who had been given illicit drugs and then sexually assaulted.”
The district attorney’s office did not mention the type of drugs the teen was allegedly given.
An investigation led authorities to discover Childers was the suspect, and that he had possessed several child pornography images, the district attorney’s office said.
“The trauma endured by victims of sexual assault is a sentence that they can never escape,” Orange County District Attorney Todd Spitzer said in a statement. “Crimes of sexual violence will never be tolerated and we as a society must send a strong message that no child is a sexual object, and those individuals who prey on children for their own sexual gratification will be identified, they will be arrested, and they will be prosecuted to the fullest extent of the law.”

If Childers is convicted of all the charges he is facing, he would face up to eight years and eight months in a California prison, as well as one year in the Orange County Jail, according to the district attorney’s office.
In a statement, Los Alamitos Police Chief Michael Claborn said Childers’ arrest “demonstrates our unwavering commitment to safeguarding the most vulnerable members of our community.”
“We urge anyone who may have been impacted to come forward — your voice matters, and you will be heard and supported,” Claborn added.
