Weld County residents are invited to provide feedback on the locations of the voter service and polling centers for this year’s election.
State law requires the clerk and recorder to designate 18 locations for voter service and polling centers. These locations allow voters to vote in person or drop off a mail ballot, and they also allow them to request a replacement ballot, register to vote or update their voter registration.
To be considered a valid location, the voter service and polling centers must be established in public places that can accommodate multiple voters and have adequate parking. Additionally, the locations must comply with the Americans with Disabilities Act and include a secure room of at least 900 square feet, with additional space outside.
The county is currently considering the following locations and is seeking locations for the Eaton, Mead and Kersey area:
Trinity Lutheran: 3000 35th Ave., Greeley UNC: 1051 22nd St., Greeley Aims Community College: 5401 W. 20th St, Greeley Aims Community College: 260 College Ave., Fort Lupton Weld County Training Center: 1104 H St., Greeley Weld County Del Camino Building: 4209 County Road 24 1/2, Longmont Windsor Recreation Center: 250 11th St., Windsor Erie Community Center: 450 Powers St., Erie Nunn Town Hall: 185 Lincoln Ave., Nunn Platteville Town Hall: 400 Grand Ave., Platteville Johnstown Senior Center: 101 Charlotte St., Johnstown Carbon Valley Recreation Center: 701 Fifth St., Frederick Ault Pierce Fire Department: 16680 Colorado 14, Ault Keenesburg Old Town Hall: 91 W. Broadway, Keenesburg Hudson Town Hall: 50 Beech St., HudsonThe clerk and recorder’s office will accept public comments for suggested locations until April 27.
