Three Orange County girls wrestlers won their weight division titles at the CIF State Championships on Saturday in Bakersfield.
Marina sophomore Aubree Gutierrez repeated as a state champion. She won the state title at 115 pounds on Saturday.
Santa Ana sophomore Angelica Serratos was a state champion at 105 pounds. Orange junior Estafany Caballero won her state title at 190 pounds.
Orange Lutheran freshman Alexis Smith was a state finalist at 110 pounds.
Marina finished second to Buchanan in the girls team standings. The Vikings accumulated 109 points. Buchanan had 147.5 points. Santa Ana finished eighth in the girls team standings with 49.5 points.
Buchanan also won the CIF State boys team championship.
Esperanza sophomore Sammy Sanchez came close to repeating as a state champion. Sanchez advanced to the finals at 120 pounds. He lost to Buchanan senior Rocklin Zinkin by a 5-2 decision in the championship round.
Esperanza junior Max Murillo was a finalist at 113 pounds.
Esperanza finished seventh in the team standings with 151 points. Fountain Valley was ninth with 99 points.
