Ric Flair is focusing on recovery after a scary fall sent him to Tampa General Hospital.
The WWE Hall of Famer shared a new photo on Saturday, October 24, showing himself smiling beneath a blanket with an eye patch over one eye. He thanked fans for their messages and prayers, as well as the hospital staff who cared for him through the night.
“Thank You To All The Tampa General Hospital Staff And Doctors That Put Up With Me Until 4:30am,” he wrote in the Instagram caption. “I Am Focused On My Healing And Recovery Right Now. I Will Be Okay!” he wrote.

In his update, Flair also addressed questions about posts that appeared on his Facebook page while he was hospitalized. He said he no longer owns the page and apologized for the inappropriate posts, calling the behavior reckless. He added that he hoped to respond to fans individually as he got stronger.
The fall came hours after Flair announced he had to cancel a scheduled appearance at Washington State Horror Con in Seattle. He said doctors had restricted his travel to three or four hours because of a blood clot in his leg, making the trip too long. “I Have To Put My Health And Recovery First,” he wrote, adding that he was scheduled to undergo a procedure to strip the affected vein. His doctors expect the procedure could allow him to travel farther afterward.
