With the 2026 Big East Championships in the books, Georgetown has earned their 5th-straight men’s team title, while Villanova is heading home after winning their 13th-straight women’s title.

One of the biggest races of the day came from Georgetown sophomore Owen Watkins, who won the men’s 100 free in 42.61. With the performance, the sophomore was just a tick off the Big East record of 42.43.

Villanova freshman Kayla Bolster made a statement swim in the women’s 200 back, where she clocked a 1:56.75 to earn the win. It was a tight race, as UConn’s Bella Hoffman was 2nd with a 1:56.93. The swim marked a new career best for Bolster, while Hoffman was off her personal best of 1:55.82.

In the women’s 1650 free, Villanova senior Katie White clocked a 16:29.88 to claim victory. The performance marked a new career best for White. This was a big race for Villanova, as junior Peri Gaguzis came in 2nd with a 16:36.28.

The men’s 1650 free saw Seton Hall grad student Jack Callan win with a 15:28.25. Seton Hall was dominant in the event, as Zachary McLeod came in 2nd with a 15:30.02, while Clil Halevi was 3rd with a 15:33.24.

Villanova senior Winnie Jalet, the 100 breast champion from Friday, made it a sweep of the women’s breaststroke events, taking the 200 breast in 2:12.94. The swim was a new career best for Jalet.

In the men’s 200 breast, Georgetown senior Nick Pezzella clocked a 1:57.83 to win. Pezzella was a bit off his career best of 1:56.01, which was swum at last year’s Big East Championships.

The women’s 200 fly saw Villanova junior Anna Farley post a 1:58.45, winning the race by a tenth-of-a-second over teammate Meghan Tiernan, also a junior.

Xavier senior Aiden Leamer won the men’s 200 fly with a 1:44.94. Leamer was off his career best of 1:43.48, which he swam at last year’s Big East Champs.

Villanova junior Carlota Colomer Guasch and UConn sophomore Jessica Sheng tied in the women’s 100 free, each clocking a 49.98. Not only did they tie, the duo swam the race almost exactly the same. Colomer Guasch was out in 23.84 and home in 26.14, while Sheng was out in 23.90 and back in 26.08.

Seton Hall’s Balint Marosi, a sophomore, took the men’s 200 back in 1:45.00.

In the women’s 400 free relay, Villanova’s squad of Colomer Guasch (51.51), Bolster (49.48), Jana Strand (50.42), and Farley (49.46) combined for a 3:20.87.

Georgetown’s squad of Isaac Holtham (44.75), Tre Cottrell (43.73), Daren Chen (44.62), and Watkins (42.28) teamed up to win the men’s 400 free relay in 2:55.38.

The diving event of the day was men’s 3-meter, where Seton Hall sophomore Nicholas Graham won with a score of 370.05.
