Erin Murphy shared a rare photo of herself and her twin sister Diane. The Bewitched star posted to Facebook on Feb. 16 as she posed with her sibling nearly 60 years after they shared the role of Tabitha Stephens on the ABCsitcom.
In the photo, Murphy posed with her arm around her twin at an outdoor location. “Sisters!” she captioned the post.
Fans reacted in the comment section to say the 61-year-old siblings looked “beautiful." Some could see a resemblance, while others felt the Murphy twins looked nothing alike as adults.

Erin and her sister Diane debuted their shared role of mini witch, Tabitha, the daughter of Darrin and Samantha Stephens (Dick York, Elizabeth Montgomery) in the third season of Bewitched in 1966. Erin appeared in 103 episodes of the fantasy comedy series, while Diane only appeared in 21 episodes of the show, per IMDb.
The twin sisters were hired due to California’s child labor laws at the time, which restricted the amount of time a child could be on the set of a television series.
“My sister and I are fraternal twins, and they were only auditioning twins for the part of Tabitha because twins can work more hours,” Erin told Studio 10 in a 2020 interview. “As soon as they hired us, they realized that we really don’t look that much alike.”
In addition, Erin adapted to the cameras better than Diane did, which became apparent early on. “If we would bring Diane on set, she would start to cry. But for me, they would turn on the lights, and I was in heaven. I was happy to be there,” Erin once told Pop Entertainment.
She also noted that as she and Diane got older, they “didn’t look enough alike to really be interchangeable.” “They would shoot my sister from the back or from a distance,” the Bewitched star shared. “They got to a point where they really couldn’t even do that because we looked so different.”
Diane Murphy barely appeared in Bewitched after Season 5, while Erin played Tabitha until the beloved series ended in 1972 after eight seasons.
