In a video, he responded to claims he looked “sick,” insisting he was “feeling better” and calling out anyone who would “laugh at me being sick.” He added, “Hey y'all, we're perfectly fine, nobody's sick,” before smiling at the camera. “Look at me. I'm fine, y'all.”
The performance comes after a sobering health update. In January, Ray J revealed he is currently bedridden and taking eight medications as doctors work to stabilize his heart condition. He told TMZ he has been ordered to remain on strict bedrest while taking Jardiance and Entresto—drugs commonly prescribed to patients at high risk of heart failure—along with the cholesterol medication Lipitor. Doctors have also instructed him to completely abstain from alcohol and smoking.
After a recent hospitalization for severe pneumonia and heart pains, he admitted on social media, “I f**ked up. I thought I was a big [shot], so I could handle all the alcohol. I could handle all the Adderall. I could handle all the drugs, but I couldn't. And it curbed my time here.”
He later added, “As long as I stay focused and stay on the right path, then everything will be all right, so thank you for all your prayers.”
