2026 Georgia High School Association 6A State Championships
Feb. 7, 2026 Atlanta, Georgia (Georgia Tech University) SCY (25 yards) ResultsThere was both a new champion and a familiar one at the Georgia High School Association 6A State Championships.
The South Forsyth girls’ team claimed its first- ever state title, outlasting two-time defending champion Brookwood by 15 points.
On the boys’ side, Brookwood repeated as champion, capturing its 10th state title overall.

South Forsyth didn’t win any events in the pool, but rode the strength of four second-place finishes and six third-place finishes to win the title.
McKenna Williams, Agata Puchala and Haley Pierce each netted 38 points to lead South Forsyth.
Harrison won two of the relays, first taking the 200 medley relay in a time of 1:46.62 behind the team of Haley Huffstetler (28.28), Evelyn Jezerinac (28.46), Reagan Burton (25.69) and Anjoli Mohanty (24.19).
Brookwood won the other two relays, starting when the squad of Nicole Amike (24.15), Amelia Moore (24.74), Lillian Petersen (25.12) and Sophie Hamilton (23.09) won the 200 free relay in 1:37.10.
In the 400 free relay, Harrison’s squad of Isabella Parrenas (54.66), Evelyn Jezerinac (51.80), Anjoli Mohanty (53.40) and Reagan Burton (51.37) won in a time of 3:31.23.
The individual event winners were spread out, with nine different swimmers taking titles.
Winners were:
McKenzie Jenny, a senior from North Gwinnett and Cincinnati commit, repeated as champion in the 200 free in a time of 1:51.23. Peachtree Ridge junior Natalia Amescua captured the 200 IM in a personal best time of 2:01.76. In the 50 free, Hamilton, a senior who has committed to Georgia Tech, topped the field in a time of 23.53 after finishing 3rd last year. Elizabeth Hobby of Colquitt County won the diving competition with 673.55 points. West Forsyth sophomore Addie Speigner touched the wall first in the 100 fly in a time of 56.30. In the 100 free, Parkview freshman Emily Hardy beat out the field with a time of 51.66. Mackenzie Britt of Brookwood was the winner in the 500 free, coming in with a time of 4:53.49. North Forsyth freshman Ellie Cooper won the 100 back in 55.18. Wheeler senior Caroline Hughes, a North Florida commit, won the 100 breast in 1:03.00.Girls Team Standings — Top 5

As expected, senior and Cal commit Baylor Stanton led the way for Brookwood. Stanton first set a state record in the 200 IM, coming in with a time of 1:44.49, breaking his own record of 1:44.74 set at the 2024 state meet. It was his fourth straight state title in the event.
Stanton later won his third straight 100 back title in 46.92 and was a part of two winning relay teams.
In the 200 medley relay, the team of Stanton (21.87), Ean Silvers (26.06), Collin Severtson (23.32) and Christian Alston (21.01) won in a time of 1:32.26.
The 200 free relay was won by Brookwood’s team of Stanton (20.12), Silvers (21.46), Evan Loo (22.35) and Michael Stanton (21.03) in 1:24.96.
The 400 free relay was captured by South Forsyth’s team of Andrew Lee (46.87), Henry Van Peteghem (47.44), Kohlston Katz (45.94) and Oliver Van Peteghem (45.39) in 3:05.64.
In addition to Stanton, other multiple event winners individually were Oliver Van Peteghem, a senior, and North Forsyth senior Owen Cooper, a Florida Atlantic commit.
Van Peteghem won the 200 free in 1:36.76 and then the 500 free in 4:27.04. Both were personal best times.
Cooper captured both sprint freestyle events, winning the 50 free in 20.53 and the 100 free in 44.72.
Other individual event winners were:
Miles Gravitt of North Gwinnett won diving with 603.90 points. Chapel Hill senior Josh Wilkinson won the 100 fly in 48.84. North Gwinnett junior Camden Cook, a Georgia commit, won the 100 breast in 55.06.Boys Team Standings — Top 5
