Yosemite is under a winter weather advisory which was released by the National Weather Service on Saturday at 11:48 a.m. The advisory is valid from Monday 10 p.m. until Wednesday Feb. 11, at 4 p.m.
“Total snow accumulations 12 to 18 inches above 7000 feet. Snow accumulations 4 to 10 inches above 6000 feet. Winds gusting as high as 40 to 50 mph at the highest elevations,” can be anticipated according to the NWS Hanford CA. “Heaviest snow expected Tuesday into Tuesday evening.”
“Travel could be very difficult to impossible. The hazardous conditions could impact the Tuesday morning and evening commutes,” the NWS said. “Slow down and use caution while traveling. The latest road conditions for the state you are calling from can be obtained by calling 5 1 1.”
