Bruce Willis "doesn't know" he has dementia, the actor's wife, Emma Heming Willis, recently revealed.
In a sneak peek of the upcoming episode of the Conversations With Cam podcast, published on Wednesday, Jan. 28, by People, Emma, 47, shared a health update three years after the Die Hard star, 70, was diagnosed with frontotemporal dementia.

“Bruce never, never tapped in," she explained. “I think that's like the blessing and the curse of this, is that he never connected the dots that he had this disease, and I'm really happy about that. I'm really happy that he doesn't know about it."
Emma said that Bruce has anosognosia—a "neurological condition in which the patient is unaware of their neurological deficit or psychiatric condition," according to the National Library of Medicine. "It's where your brain can't identify what is happening to it,” she said, adding that those with anosognosia “think this is their normal.”
She continued, “People think this might be denial, like they don't want to go to the doctor because they're like, ‘I'm fine, I'm fine,’ actually, this is the anosognosia that comes into play. It's not denial. It's just that their brain is changing. This is a part of the disease.”
With that said, Emma shared that Bruce still "has a way of connecting with me, our children that might not be the same as you would connect with your loved one, but it's still very beautiful." She added, "It's still very meaningful. It's just—it's just different. You just learn how to adapt.”
Bruce and Emma, who married in 2009, share two daughters, Mabel, 13, and Evelyn, 11. Additionally, he shared three daughters with his ex-wife, Demi Moore, 63: Rumer, 37, Scout, 34, and Tallulah, 31.
The Sixth Sense actor was diagnosed with frontotemporal dementia in early 2023, following an aphasia diagnosis in 2022.
