Chick-fil-A has always been a go-to for breakfast runs and midday pick-me-ups, but when it comes to coffee, the menu has stayed pretty straightforward. That may be changing. The chain is quietly testing something new that has fans buzzing online, especially those who have long wished their chicken biscuit could come with a more exciting caffeine companion.
If you've ever pulled into the drive-thru craving chicken minis and thought, I wish there were more coffee options, you're not alone. Chick-fil-A loyalists have spent years customizing basic hot or iced coffee with milk, vanilla creamer or sugar and calling it a day. Now the brand is dipping a toe into more specialty-style territory, and people are paying attention.

What's Brewing Behind the Scenes
View this post on InstagramUser @snackolater notes that the test introduces two new coffee drinks. One is a smooth iced coffee made with a custom cold-brewed blend and two-percent milk, served over ice. The other is a cream cold brew that leans richer thanks to a sweet cream blend mixed with cold-brewed coffee.
Both drinks can be ordered plain or flavored with caramel, mocha, or vanilla, allowing guests to choose their preferred flavor. If you prefer no milk or sweetener in your coffee, that's an option too. The idea here is flexibility, which is something Chick-fil-A fans already love about the menu.

Where and When Fans Can Try It
Here's the catch: For now, Chick-fil-A's coffee experiment is limited. The iced coffee and cream cold brew are available from Jan. 5–31, while supplies last, and only at participating Alabama locations in Anniston, Birmingham and Tuscaloosa.
Guests in those areas can order the drinks for dine-in, pickup or delivery through the Chick-fil-A app or online. While Chick-fil-A One points can't be redeemed for these beverages, you can still earn points when you buy them.
Fans outside Alabama are already watching closely. If the test goes well, there's hope these drinks could eventually roll out nationwide. Until then, coffee lovers will have to live vicariously through social posts and reviews from lucky testers.
Whether this experiment turns into a permanent menu upgrade remains to be seen. But one thing's clear: Chick-fil-A fans are more than ready for a little extra excitement in their morning coffee routine.
