Grupo Niche has signed a booking deal with Cardenas Marketing Network (CMN), Billboard can announce. The renowned Colombian salsa group joins a star-studded roster that includes Marc Anthony, Christian Nodal and Ana Gabriel.

The announcement comes on the heels of Niche’s successful Legacy Tour, which celebrated the salsa group’s 45th anniversary across 75 shows in 15 countries, including the United States, Europe and Latin America. Under the new alliance, CMN will bring Grupo Niche to new stages, expanding its global reach and delivering memorable live experiences.

    Known for classic salsa tunes such as “Una Aventura,” “Gotas de Lluvia” and “Mi Pueblo,” Grupo Niche was founded in 1978 by the late Jairo Varela in Santiago de Cali — the third-most populous city in Colombia after Bogotá and Medellín — also known as “La capital mundial de la salsa” (the salsa capital of the world). One of the group’s most notable songs is “Cali Pachanguero,” which celebrated its 40th anniversary in 2024 and still resonates with proud Colombians everywhere. 

    On Billboard‘s Top Tropical Albums chart, the group has 19 entries, including seven top 10 titles. On the Tropical Airplay chart, it has placed 11 songs, three of them in the top 10. Over its career, the group has won two Latin Grammys and one Grammy.
