Since its inception in 2011, the CCL has brought the best of the two worlds, bringing utmost drama and entertainment. CCL 2011: Chennai Rhinos
In the inaugural edition of the Celebrity Cricket League (CCL), Vishal-captained Chennai Rhinos beat Karnataka Bulldozers to claim the tournament’s first-ever title.
CCL 2012: Chennai Rhinos
The CCL 2012, which returned the following year, saw the defending champions in Chennai Rhinos retain the title as they defeated last season’s runners-up Karnataka Bulldozers once again.
CCL 2013: Karnataka Bulldozers
Captained by actor Venkatesh in the third edition, the two-time runners-up, Karnataka Bulldozers finally ended their title drought as they defeated Telugu Warriors in the summit clash.
CCL 2014: Karnataka Bulldozers
The fourth season of the T20 tournament saw the Karnataka Bulldozers defend the title. Led by popular personality in the film industry, Sudeep, the Karnataka side defeated Kerala Strikers to claim back-to-back titles.
CCL 2015: Telugu Warriors
After coming close to victory in CCL 2013, the Telugu Warriors finally got their hands on it in the fifth season of the tournament. Led by actor Akkineni Nagarjuna, the Telugu Warriors beat Chennai Rhinos.
CCL 2016: Telugu Warriors
After their first-ever win in CCL 2015, there was no looking back for the Telugu Warriors. They went on to claim their second title in the sixth edition under Akkineni Nagarjuna’s captaincy. The Warriors defeated Karnataka Bulldozers to lift second consecutive title.
CCL 2017: Telugu Warriors
Coming into the tournament with back-to-back title wins, the Telugu Warriors completed a hat-trick of wins as they beat Kerala Strikers this year to clinch the trophy, which once again came under Akkineni Nagarjuna’s leadership.
CCL 2019: Mumbai Heroes
After years of wait, the eighth edition, which was held after a year’s hiatus, saw the Mumbai Heroes lift their first-ever CCL trophy. The Mumbai-based team defeated Karnataka Bulldozers in the finale that year.
CCL 2023: Telugu Warriors
After coming a hat-trick of wins, Telugu Warriors added one more trophy to their cabinet, winning the ninth edition. Once again under the captaincy of Akkineni Nagarjuna, the side beat Bhojpuri Dabanggs in he final to claim their record fourth title. With this, they also became the most successful side in the tournament history.
CCL 2024: Bengal Tigers
As the tournament grew in stature with passing years, CCL 2024 was won by Bengal Warriors, who beat Karnataka Bulldozers in the summit clash to claim their maiden CCL title.
CCL 2025: Punjab De Sher
The 11th edition, which was played just last year, saw the Punjab De Sher ended their trophy drought. The Harrdy Sandhu-led side defeated Chennai Rhinos to claim their first-ever CCL title.
