Exodus has some exciting news on X.
The thrash metal band teased on their official X account that they will be releasing a new song from their new and upcoming album next week.
The last time Exodus released a studio album was in 2021 with the record Persona Non Grata. Prior to that, their last album was Blood In, Blood Out in 2014.
Exodus has not been M.I.A though over the past five years. In 2024, they released a live album, British Disaster: The Battle of '89, and a single titled "Beating Around the Bush." They also put out a collaboration with Mark Osegueda last April. This upcoming song, whose title has not been revealed yet, will be the lead single for their thirteenth studio album.
Next week. New song from our new album. Stay tuned!

Tom Hunting from Exodus performs on stage at the Tons of Rock festival on June 27, 2025 in Oslo, Norway. In September, the metal band announced on Instagram that they would be going on tour this spring around Europe and the United Kingdom, opening for Kreator, hitting multiple cities such as Lisbon, Madrid, London, Zurich, Frankfurt, Warsaw and more. In addition, they will be opening for Megadeth alongside Anthrax next month around Canada.
Their current lineup of Exodus consists of Gary Holt, Lee Altus, Jack Gibson, Tom Hunting, and Rob Dukes. Exodus was formed in 1979 by Hunting, Kirk Hammett, Tim Agnello and Keith Stewart, who all went to high school together. The band went through multiple lineup changes over the years. The only original member left is Hunting, who plays the drums.
Exodus gained significant popularity in the 1980s as pioneers of the Bay Area thrash metal scene, with their breakthrough coming from albums like Bonded by Blood, Pleasures of the Flesh and Fabulous Disaster, which featured "The Toxic Waltz" and landed them a major label deal with Capitol Records. Despite their success, the band went through multiple break-ups, one in 1993 and another in 1998. They reunited for good in 2001 and have released seven more studio albums since.
