Mickey Rourke has reportedly turned to crowdfunding to avoid being evicted from his Los Angeles home.
The Wrestler star, 73, “approved” a GoFundMe page that aims to pay an alleged “$59,100” rental bill, per a Sunday, January 4, article published by The Hollywood Reporter.
The GoFundMe page was created by Liya Joelle-Jones from Bantam, Connecticut, with the “friend and member of Rourke’s management team” detailing her intentions during an interview with the outlet. “Mickey is going through a very difficult time right now, and it’s been incredibly touching to see how many people care about him and want to help,” Joelle-Jones said.
Us Weekly has reached out to a representative for Rourke for comment.

Per reporting by the Los Angeles Times last month, the actor was issued a “three-day eviction notice” on December 18, 2025, after signing a lease on the property in March of last year for “$5,200 per month.” The outlet noted that Rourke’s rent was allegedly later raised to $7,000 per month.
According to another report by Fox News published on Thursday, January 1, Rourke’s landlord, Eric Goldie, filed a lawsuit with the Los Angeles Superior Court on December 29, 2025, after Rourke failed to pay the alleged rental bill. Goldie is now also reportedly seeking “compensation for damages and attorney fees.”
At the time of this article’s publication, the GoFundMe page had raised just under $29,000 in donations from more than 693 people.

A description on the page stated that the initiative was “created with Mickey’s full permission to help cover immediate housing-related expenses and prevent [eviction] from happening.”
The description also presented a summary of Rourke’s career and downfall leading up to the alleged eviction notice.
“Mickey Rourke entered American cinema like a force of nature — raw, fearless and utterly original. In the late 1970s and 1980s, he wasn’t just a movie star; he was a symbol of something rare: danger paired with vulnerability, toughness paired with heart,” it read. “At the height of his success, he stepped away from Hollywood in search of truth and authenticity, choosing risk over comfort.”
The description continued, “Boxing — real and punishing — left lasting physical and emotional scars, and the industry that once celebrated him moved on quickly. What followed were years of struggle not defined by spectacle, but by survival: health challenges, financial strain and the quiet toll of being left behind. Today, Mickey is facing a very real and urgent situation: the threat of eviction from his home.”

It then discussed Rourke’s journey as a celebrity, stating that fame “does not protect against hardship” and that the actor is entitled to a home.
“The goal is simple: to give Mickey stability and peace of mind during an extremely stressful time — so he can stay in his home and have the space to get back on his feet,” the description read. “Any donation, no matter the size, will make a real difference. And if you’re not able to contribute, sharing this page is a huge help and deeply appreciated. Thank you so much for your kindness, compassion and support.”
Rourke attracted headlines last year due to his controversial behavior on Celebrity Big Brother UK, which resulted in a heated confrontation with fellow housemate Chris Hughes in April 2025. After the pair’s exchange — and after the reality show publicly condemned Rourke’s “offensive and threatening” comments — Rourke was booted from the reality series.
