LPBW Alum Tori Roloff Shares Vulnerable Update on Cystic Acne

It’s taken Tori Roloff nearly a year to feel confident in her own skin — literally.

“OK, this is a little bit of a vulnerable post,” Roloff, 34, wrote via her Instagram Stories on Saturday, January 3, alongside a throwback selfie from 2025. “This time last year,  I was struggling so bad with my skin. I was getting the worst cystic acne.”

She continued, “It hurt and looked terrible. I’m not one to get insecure, but this one was hard to work through for me.”

In a follow-up slide, Roloff posed for a new selfie to show how her skin had cleared up.

“This is almost exactly one year later after working with @gloaestheticsand wellness @zoskinhealth and @skinbetter,” she wrote. “My skin looks and feels so much better. I’ve also consistently worked to heal my gut with @tryarmra, and I’m feeling so grateful.”

The Little People, Big World alum has previously been candid about her body image struggles, especially during pregnancy. (Tori welcomed kids Jackson, Lilah and Josiah with husband Zach Roloff in 2017, 2019 and 2022, respectively.)

“This pregnancy has been a lot harder on me than the last,” Tori wrote via Instagram in July 2019 amid her pregnancy with Lilah. “Don’t get me wrong. I’ve been so lucky. I’m not sick (anymore) and I haven’t had any complications (thank the lord), however, I have had a harder time accepting my body this go around. I’ve gotten bigger a lot faster than I did with Jackson and I’ve become a lot more insecure.”

She continued, “Hearing people ask me if I’m sure it’s not twins definitely does not help. … It’s been hard to really enjoy this pregnancy because I’ve let my own body image issues get in the way. Us as women are so bada**, like, we can grow babies. I know I need to give this up to God right and be thankful for this gift — and I’m trying, trust me.”

After Tori gave birth to Lilah, she started prioritizing her fitness.

“This is the first time I’ve found a place that I feel like holds me accountable,” Tori exclusively told Us Weekly in October 2020. “It’s been good. I just feel stronger, and I feel more confident.”

Zach, 35, also noticed how his wife had grown in confidence since accepting her postpartum figure.

“I’ve told her she walks around more confidently and speaks more confidently about herself,” Zach told Us. “It’s been good.”

Tori gave birth to son Josiah two years later in 2022, which further led her to re-examine how she looked at herself in the mirror.

“My body has been through so much. I thought about doing a tummy tuck or doing something because I have a belly,” Tori wrote via her Instagram Stories in August 2023, per In Touch. “But at the same time, I’m like, ‘God gave me three beautiful children and he gave me this life that I’m so proud of.’ I’m so proud of my body being able to carry three babies to full term and be cut open three times, and I can still run around.”

Tori ultimately decided against going under the knife, stressing that she’s now “in awe” of her body instead of feeling shame.
