After tying the knot with husband Adam Peaty at the U.K.’s Abbey Church of Saint Peter and Saint Paul on Saturday, December 27, Holly, 26, shared details of her Elie Saab dress, which she kept hidden from photographers on her wedding day.
“The aisle at the abbey is 65 meters,” Holly told British Vogue in a Friday, January 2, profile. “It’s so grand and so beautiful. … I knew I needed something long!”
Holly noted that she envisioned a lace gown that was “very traditional, quite modest” and “super feminine,” similar to the dresses worn by Kate, 43, and Grace Kelly at their own weddings. With the bride’s requests in mind, the team at Elie Saab—a favorite brand of the Princess of Wales’—crafted a custom long-sleeve design with a full skirt and circle train. Holly finished off her look with a lace veil and Amina Muaddi heels that Peaty, 31, gave her as a Christmas gift.

“It makes me feel very princess-like,” Holly said of the dress.

“I’ve always loved the idea of bringing in Mum’s dress at some point,” she explained. “It’s beautiful: silk with a V-neckline and pearls all the way around. I tried it on and it fit me perfectly—it didn’t need any altering.”
Holly subsequently changed into a white strapless Elie Saab minidress as the celebrations continued later that night.
