ORCHARD PARK, N.Y. — Officials have announced that higher law enforcement and security personnel will be present throughout the final regular-season game at Highmark Stadium, as the Buffalo Bills will play the New York Jets on Sunday.
Deputies say fans will be charged if they attempt to damage and/or steal stadium seats, turf, and signage when they aren’t supposed to.
“The Erie County Sheriff’s Office, New York State Police and Orchard Park Police Department will be in lockstep with security staff in and around Highmark Stadium throughout the day. We will have additional uniformed and undercover personnel, as well as video technology, to ensure a safe environment for fans, players, coaches, officials and staff,” said Erie County Sheriff John C. Garcia.
