TROUPSBURG, N.Y. — A driver, 44, has died after his plow truck went off the road in Steuben County on New Year’s Day.
The crash happened just before 7 a.m. on Grinnold Road in Troupsburg, near the Pennsylvania state line. According to New York State Police, first responders found the truck flipped over and the driver trapped inside. Troopers say he died on the way to St. James Hospital.
Troopers are still investigating the crash and the Steuben County Coroner will perform an autopsy. We’ve reached out to police to learn if he was a state Department of Transportation employee. Check back for updates.
